At Little NULS Nursery School, we provide the best start to education for 2,3 and 4 year olds by providing the highest quality care and Early Years education.
The children are at the heart of all that we do and their growth and happy development are our priority. Little NULS children benefit from an enriching Nursery School environment, access to swimming lessons in our 25m indoor pool and our extensive grounds including our Forest School.
Our high quality care and Early Years education for 2, 3 and 4 year olds has happiness and well-being of children at its heart.
We are a self-contained Nursery School alongside the Reception classes, with whom we work closely in forming a strong Pre-Prep Stage. Our Nursery benefits from having newly-refurbished indoor and outdoor learning environments, a Forest School area and access to the School library and facilities.
A dedicated team of experienced and well-qualified staff work in partnership with parents to support each child’s development towards key milestones. We believe that play underpins all learning and development, and each child is guided and supported in developing important foundation skills which are essential in equipping them for life and education.
We are open 50 weeks of the year and offer year-round or term time only sessions.

Learning
Children develop rapidly during their early years: physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Our Nursery School curriculum is designed to provide a supportive framework to extend their knowledge, skills, understanding and confidence. Well-planned and purposeful play activities are set out to build on what children already know and can do. The curriculum encourages a positive attitude and a disposition to learn. We endeavour to provide a rich and stimulating environment where children feel included, secure and valued.
We follow the seven areas of learning set by the Early Years Foundation Stage ensuring that our nursery curriculum supports personal, social and emotional development as well as supporting your child’s communication, language, mathematics, literacy and more.
Forest School
Our pupils regularly attend our Forest School, located on our School grounds, which is purposefully designed to provide pupils with a holistic educational experience that aims to raise self-awareness and self-esteem in a natural, outdoor setting as well as enhancing learning. Forest School is a long-term programme that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking whilst developing confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences.
