Mr D P Wallbank

David is a former pupil of the School, and his daughter also previously attended. He is a graduate of the University of Kent at Canterbury and was a West Midlands Police Officer for thirty years holding the position of Detective Inspector.

For eight years he specialised in child protection and safeguarding work and was vice-chair of NE Forum of the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board.

David now works in education at an academy in Stoke-on-Trent, where his role involves the welfare, attainment, behaviour, attendance and safeguarding of the children.

David is a Classics graduate from St. John’s College, Cambridge and is Headmaster of Hill House School, Doncaster. He is a member of the Society of Heads and sits on both the Society’s Main Committee and its Futures Committee, which briefs the Society and the Independent School’s Council on forthcoming educational change and challenge.

David also serves as an ISI Inspector, and is a member of the board of a Multi Academy Trust which currently constitutes six primary schools in South Yorkshire.

David is a firm believer in, and advocate of, the importance of a high quality all-round education, and the necessity for excellent relationships between independent schools and the wider community.

Andy is a Senior Managing Director, member of Accenture’s Global Management Committee and the Chief Operating Officer for all of Accenture’s Services including Strategy, Consulting, Technology, Operations, Security and Industry X. In his role, Andy is responsible for executing the business strategy and managing the operational performance across a global team of over 680,000 professionals in more than 100 countries. Andy joined Accenture from University and during his career has previously held a number of other senior P&L, operations management, client delivery and commercial leadership roles.

Andy is a member of the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO) and a patron of the Royal Television Society.

Andy studied Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University graduating with 1st Class Honours and awarded the Watt Club Medal for Outstanding Merit and Distinction.

Andy is married to Jo and has a son and a daughter, currently at University, who both studied at the School.

Graham is the Managing Director of a legal business based in Manchester and London which services the insurance businesses of, and is ultimately owned by, Markel Corp. He also sits on the UK national markets executive of Markel International Insurance company.

He was previously managing partner of a Staffordshire law firm and practiced as a solicitor in the area for 28 years specialising in commercial litigation.

Graham is married and has a son who attended the School.

Sheffield-born David moved to Staffordshire for the first of his three headships in 2004 so knows the area well after a teaching career spanning thirty-five years in seven schools.

Since qualifying at Cambridge in 1988, David has occupied most leadership positions and has been an ISI inspector since 2004.

David’s last job as Director of Estates and Compliance has been a useful foil for teaching, as having retired from full-time work in 2022, he is now an educational consultant combining that with regular work for ISI. His speciality is compliance in education.

David is married with two grown-up sons and enjoys watching all sports, canalling and landscaping gardens.
