Little NULS has secured the prestigious Platinum Green Tree Award by the Woodland Trust for their excellent provision of outdoor learning that inspires children to learn about trees, woods and wildlife.
In order to secure this prestigious award, our Little NULS staff and pupils have completed a number of projects which have enabled them to upgrade their Gold award to the sought after Platinum accolade. Activities include encouraging the children to explore the world from different viewpoints. To do this, the children used a viewfinder to look at the environment from different perspectives including lying on their tummies to get a bug’s eye view, and climbing up high to see how a bird sees the world.
Our Forest School is located on our school grounds and provides our Little NULS pupils with the opportunity to develop their confidence through supported risk-taking and hands-on experiences.
