Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year at NULS. From Little NULS to Sixth Form, the festive season is filled with delights for all of the NULS community.
Commencing the festive period, our Nursery and Reception children shone in their beautiful “Twinkly Nativity” performance. The theatre lights, lovely costumes, and microphones made the whole show feel so special.
Year 1 and 2 were wonderful in their Christmas performance, Children of the World. They sang beautifully, danced with joy, and delivered their lines clearly and confidently.
The Prep festivities culminated in the Prep Carol Service, a heart-warming blend of traditional readings and choral music that left parents and pupils alike ready to embrace the holiday break.
Carols by Candlelight is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the NULS calendar. St Paul’s Church was adorned by candlelight and packed to the rafters as our school community came together to celebrate the festive period.
With beautiful singing from our choirs, Christmas carols enthusiastically sang by the congregation, readings from our pupils and staff and all accompanied by our organists and brass bands, the event certainly put everyone into the Christmas spirit. In keeping with NULS tradition, the service is repeated on the final day of term, allowing the entire student body to “ring in” the holidays together.
Adding to the musical festivities, the NULS Music Department hosted a spectacular Christmas Concert. From soloists and intricate ensembles to the joy of our school choirs, the evening was a showcase of the diverse musical talent fostered at the school. It was the perfect finale to a wonderful term.
