Our School gathered together at a very special Remembrance Service to remember those from our community who fell during both World Wars and conflicts since.
Pupils from Year 6 to Sixth Form, Staff, Veterans and members of the School Community gathered on the Astro for a Remembrance Parade and Service led by our CCF contingent. Our talented musicians accompanied the service, our Year 6 pupils beautifully read ‘In Flanders Fields’, and individuals from our School community laid a wreath in commemoration of those, including former pupils, who sacrificed so much.
It was a special morning with the whole Senior School and our older Prep pupils assembling for the parade and the two minutes’ silence.
Newcastle under Lyme School’s youngest pupils have raised over £5000 for Cancer Research UK by completing a sponsored walk ‘from’ Newcastle-under-Lyme to Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.
