Prep Adventures
Prep Adventures is our bespoke in house programme of outdoor pursuits. The journey of expedition stretches across our Prep school where our pupils will face opportunity and challenge across the three key elements of the programme; land, water and air.
The Programme
Prep Adventures is split across the three key themes of land, water and air will see pupils taking part in activities such as archery, orienteering, hiking, canoeing, open water swimming, zip lining and much more, providing them with the perfect foundation with which to pursue programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and CCF at later stages in their education.
Exploring beyond NULS
We believe that it is important for our pupils to broaden their horizons and explore the wider world. That’s why we work with in-house and external industry experts to take our pupils outside of the NULS gates to ensure they truly challenge themselves and take themselves out of their comfort zones. With trips to the Peak District, outdoor pursuits centres, Residentials and more, our pupils have so many opportunities to try different things, work with their peers and build their confidence.
Achievement
Prep Adventures has been carefully mapped to provide compulsory and optional challenges. As the children progress through the year groups the activities they encounter will build upon their skill set, take them out of their comfort zone and reward them for their growth. Each year the programme will culminate in a celebration of achievement where pupils will be recognised for the practical skills they have developed, their personal growth and their positive contributions to charity and global environmental concerns.
