Prep Adventures

Prep Adventures is our bespoke in house programme of outdoor pursuits. The journey of expedition stretches across our Prep school where our pupils will face opportunity and challenge across the three key elements of the programme; land, water and air.

We want to provide adventure, stimulate ambition and instil self-belief.

Our pupils will develop grit and resilience through an enjoyment of outdoor learning whilst also fostering a love of the environment in which we live. Pupils will get the opportunity to learn more about themselves and work towards an understanding of what they may be capable of achieving in life. Their personalities will shine and pupils can appreciate and build upon their own strengths.

Research now backs up what forest school practitioners have known all along – that children and young people are stimulated by the outdoors and typically experience, over time, an increase in their self-belief, confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, communication and problem-solving skills. Getting outside the classroom sets learning in a different context for children and the benefits are endless; improved physical health, emotional well-being, confidence, enterprising behaviours, risk management and many more.
