Newcastle-under-Lyme School Sixth Former Harry Ledingham-Horn bagged two A* and two As on A-Level results day – and is now hoping to make the grade as a professional cyclist.
Harry, aged 18, is moving to Manchester to train and compete with British Cycling full-time and has recently had success and won gold in the under-23 men’s team sprint at the European Championships in Portugal. Now he is ready to pursue his dream of a full-time career in the sport after celebrating top grades in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry at NULS.
Harry started cycling at the age of 7 or 8 and later joined Lyme RC. He is currently a member of the Black Line sprint team.
Newcastle under Lyme School’s youngest pupils have raised over £5000 for Cancer Research UK by completing a sponsored walk ‘from’ Newcastle-under-Lyme to Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.
