It has been another remarkable year for our aspiring medics as six pupils have secured a number of highly sought after offers to study at the country’s most prestigious universities.
Through following NULS’ eminent Pre-Med pathway, Sixth Formers Samyuktha, Mihika, Saad, Alisha, Zaara and Akshat have received offers from universities including UCL, Imperial, Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leicester, and Brighton and Sussex.
Their immense success in crossing the first hurdle has been a testament to their hard work and dedication and as a school community, we are so proud of this amazing group of pupils and wish them so much success in their A-Level examinations and beyond.
The Pre-Med Society has a long standing tradition of allowing pupils access to a range of medical related careers in a way that few can rival. Through pupils’ involvement with the society, they are able to access in-house expertise, as well as the knowledge of the external professionals that we draw on, to provide them with a holistic view of the careers available to them within the healthcare industry as well as guidance around the rigorous application processes.
Welcoming pupils from Year 10 to Year 13, the Pre-Med society provides opportunities for pupils to develop skills which are an integral part of these chosen career paths, such as leadership, mentoring, researching, writing and editing The Caduceus Newsletter, and leading Pre-Med Junior sessions to name just a few.
Additionally, we also hold the annual Pre-Med Conference for young people across the region to have the opportunity to access high quality information and guidance about careers in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science and more.
