Iceland is a magical country that offers truly breathtaking views, amazing experiences and, most importantly, the highest concentration of geography anywhere in the world, making it a popular destination for school visits.
So it was wonderful to see this favourite trip revived for 2023. Our team, led by Mr Lawton, set off with 45 pupils from the senior school in the November half-term to explore volcanoes, geysers, geothermal energy, glaciers and technology and much more including a chance to visit the capital Reykjavik. A truly magnificent experience, making memories that will last forever.
Newcastle under Lyme School’s youngest pupils have raised over £5000 for Cancer Research UK by completing a sponsored walk ‘from’ Newcastle-under-Lyme to Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.
