Our Lower School actors have delighted audiences with their lively performances of “Treasure Island”.
Adapted by Bryony Lavery, our pupils performed a thrilling new adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale of money, murder and mutiny! Utilising the unique architecture of the Memorial Hall, audiences were cleverly transported to Treasure Island via the high seas on The Hispaniola ship.
Our swash-buckling cast made up of students from Year 7 and 9 wowed audiences with their energy, talent and hard work. The magic didn’t stop on the stage as an equally committed group of students worked tirelessly behind the scenes. From managing lighting and sound to crafting props, costumes, and set pieces, these students played a vital role in bringing the production to life.
Adding to the collaborative spirit of the production, our Year 12 Theatre Studies students stepped into leadership roles (Direction and Stage Management) with creativity and confidence. Sixth Formers Nikhil, Amy, and Olivia directed the show, leading auditions, rehearsals, stage design and all aspects of technical production. Their dedication and professionalism ensured the performance ran smoothly from start to finish.
We are incredibly proud of every student who took part—whether on stage or backstage. Treasure Island was more than just a school play; it was a celebration of talent, teamwork, and imagination.
