Junior School Summer Sport
Junior School Pupils take part in our annual House Sports Day Competition - June 2018
Throughout June, and what a glorious month of weather we have been fortunate to have, our Junior School pupils spanning the Pre-Prep right through to Year 6 took part in our annual House Sports Day Competition.
Children from the Nursery, Reception and Years 1 and 2 took part in a number of inter-house athletics events including the target throw, seated ball throw, obstacle race, a 40m sprint, cone touch and football dribble.
On Tuesday 5th June children from Years 5 and 6 competed in a number of inter-house athletics events including the 75m, 600m, 40m hurdles, ball throw, three spring jumps and long jump. All of them performed brilliantly, scoring points for themselves as individuals and for their houses. In the afternoon, it was the turn of Years 3 and 4, who competed in almost the same events, with the two changes being a 300m run, rather than 600m, and a 50m sprint as opposed to a 75m race.
