As part of our recently launched Elite Athlete Programme, we were delighted to welcome Lottie Morey, a Nutritionist from Thomas Franks Catering, to deliver an engaging and insightful presentation to our Year 10–Year 13 aspiring athletes.
Lottie brings a wealth of expertise in food nutrition. She graduated with first-class honours in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Reading before gaining valuable experience as a Health and Wellbeing Coach with the NHS. Currently, Lottie works with Thomas Franks, providing nutrition education to schools across the UK.
Lottie’s presentation covered key topics such as; the crucial role of hydration and a balanced, nutritious diet; designing ‘performance plates’ for optimal nutrition on match days and how to ensure an optimal recovery after exercise or training.
The session provided invaluable insights, linking the foundations of nutrition to achieving excellence and sustained success in high-performance sports!
