Easter 2026 has been packed full of travels, fun and making memories that will last a life time. Whether Skiing through the French Alps, taking on the Big Apple or Exploring the Catalonian region of Spain, our pupils have had so many rich experiences that they will remember forever.
Pupils from Prep and Seniors headed to Les Deux Alpes for Ski 2026. Leaving a week earlier, pupils in Year 5 and 6 traded NULS for the mountains! From ski lessons against breathtakingly snowy backdrops, developing their ski technique and enjoying film and games nights together, our pupils rose to each challenge impressing our teachers and their ski instructors with their ability and eagerness to learn.
With perfect snow conditions and breath-taking scenery, our senior pupils made the most of every second at Les Deux Alpes in Vénosc France. From taking in the jaw dropping views at the 3400m footbridge and enjoying spectacular views towards Alpe d’Huez and Mont Blanc, the trip was a world class experience.
Beyond the slopes, our pupils also enjoyed evenings of ice skating, well deserved visits to the creperie and so much more! Whether they were absolute novices, or experienced skiers, our pupils were fantastic and had an absolute ball.
While our younger pupils were skiing, Year 12 headed stateside for their annual study trip to New York!
From sailing to the Statue of Liberty, viewing Manhattan from the Top of the Rock, watching “Moulin Rouge” on Broadway and sunrise morning runs around Central Park, the trip really was one to remember.
A real highlight of the trip was a guided tour around the United Nations Headquarters, with students gaining first hand insight into the inner workings of the hugely influential global organisation. It was an informative, fascinating and ultimately inspiring look at international diplomacy and the pursuit of world peace.
The week was perfectly rounded off with a trip to Chelsea Market for shopping and a classic NYC brunch before the flight home. The true success of the trip was seeing our Year 12 students grow in independence and enjoy the simple brilliance of being together as a group. These are the friendships and stories that will last a lifetime.
Our 1st XI Senior Hockey had a brilliant time on their trip to the Bath Hockey Festival.
Over the weekend, they played an extremely high standard of hockey and our Hockey boys’ had a fantastic weekend of fixtures and exploring the historic city of Bath.
For some of our Senior team this was their last run out in a Newcastle-under-Lyme School hockey shirt and we would like to thank them for their years of service to School sport – you’ll be missed boys!
Finally, the final adventure of Easter 2026 is for our Spanish students who have jetted to the Catalonian region of Spain.
To kick off their journey, our group of linguists headed to the coastal gem of Tossa de Mar, where they spent a fantastic afternoon immersed in the town’s rich history and stunning medieval architecture. It was the perfect introduction to the local culture before diving into the fast-paced energy of the region’s capital.
The excitement continued as the group headed into Barcelona for a day packed with iconic landmarks and local flair. From a behind-the-scenes tour of the RCD Espanyol stadium to standing in awe beneath the towering spires of La Sagrada Família, the students have been busy exploring everything the Catalonian capital has to offer. Bathed in the warm Spanish sunshine, our linguists are making the most of every moment, turning their classroom lessons into real-world memories.
Louis Bond: “The site of the camp was much larger than I had ever expected. Much of the camp was destroyed, but there were the cabin like structures at the front of the complex which were tiny in comparison to the number of people who were forced to stay in them. At the rear of the
