Outstanding Performers

At all levels the creative and performing arts are highly valued and the opportunities for drama, music and art are quite exceptional.

Our rich and imaginative annual programme of concerts and plays gives every child the chance to make a contribution and experience the excitement of creative performance.

Drama opportunities for the Sixth Form include an Upper School play each year. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to take leadership roles including directing and technical management.

Productions

Regular rehearsals and co-curricular clubs support three major performances each year.

In the Autumn term, our Whole School Musical brings together Music and Drama to showcase the talents of all of our Senior School pupils. Recent productions have included ‘Grease’, ‘Me and My Girl’ and ‘The Sound of Music’.

In Spring, our Year 10, 11 and Sixth Form pupils bring us a smaller and more challenging piece of drama or musical theatre. Here we see the benefits of the great training our Drama Department offers. These productions are high-quality and seriously impressive. Recent productions have included ‘Into the Woods’, ‘Lord of the Flies’ and ‘Kes’.
