A group of NULS Politics students had the unique opportunity to step into the heart of British Politics as they visited No 10 Downing Street. Organised by alumnus Liam Booth-Smith who is the Downing Street Chief of Staff, the trip aimed to provide students with a first-hand glimpse into the workings of the country’s leadership.
Our Sixth Formers were able to explore No. 10 through a guided tour of the building including the State Drawing Room which is one to Downing Street’s main reception rooms.
The trip not only enriched the students’ understanding of governance but also ignited their enthusiasm for political participation.
Newcastle under Lyme School’s youngest pupils have raised over £5000 for Cancer Research UK by completing a sponsored walk ‘from’ Newcastle-under-Lyme to Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.
