We are overjoyed to announce that two of our Sixth Formers, Lucy and Rubens, have been successful in securing offers for this September to study Dentistry, a course which is widely recognised as being extremely difficult to secure a place on.
With a cap of only approximately 1,100 dentistry places available each year and in the region of 10,000 applicants, it is an extraordinary achievement for two of our pupils to secure multiple offers in what is a highly competitive environment.
The Pre-Med Society at NULS prides itself on providing in depth information across a range of healthcare areas to allow pupils to establish what route is right for them. This expertise is reflected in the range of wider offers our pupils have received this year.
Commenting on their success, Headmaster Michael Getty, said: “Dentistry is renowned as one of the very toughest university courses to now access. The academic achievement, detailed preparation and dedication Sixth Form students must demonstrate is quite daunting. Having our aspiring dentists receive offers to study this September is an outstanding achievement and we are so proud of them, and of how our experts in school and Pre-Med Society have helped to create this fantastic outcome.”
