Little NULS is open from 08.00 to 18.00 and the day is divided into 2 sessions: morning and afternoon, with lunch being considered as part of the morning session. We also offer the option of a shorter day as required, to allow parents to collect children at the same time as older siblings in the Prep or Senior School.
We are open for 50 weeks of the year, apart from closures on Bank Holidays, INSET days, and for two weeks over Christmas.
Parents may choose to structure the number of sessions in a variety of ways, although we often recommend a minimum of 5 sessions. Structure options are as follows:
The Nursery School terms run from 1 September – 31 December, 1 January – 31 March and 1 April – 31 August.
No two days are the same at Little NULS Nursery, and we always strive to provide a fun, dynamic and engaging programme of activities for all children at our Newcastle-under-Lyme nursery.
We offer an array of weekly activities within our Early Years curriculum, including (but not limited to!) Forest School, French lessons and Rhythm Time. We also welcome fun, engaging external visitors such as Wildlife Rescue Centres.
Our pupils enjoy weekly dance lessons with a dance teacher in our School’s Dance Studio, and swimming lessons in our on-site 25m indoor pool during the Summer Term of Pre-School.
We follow the seven areas of learning set by the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure that our nursery curriculum supports personal, social and emotional development, in addition to supporting your child’s skills, including communication, language, mathematics, literacy and more.
Our on-site Forest School is only a short walk from the Little NULS play area and its natural environment enables our pupils to develop their confidence through supported risk-taking and hands-on experiences.
