After months of development and growing engagement since last July, Newcastle-under-Lyme School is proud to announce the launch of the Castilian Society Network — a shared platform bringing together former pupils of Newcastle-under-Lyme School, Orme Girls’ School, and Newcastle High School.
Built on a foundation of lifelong connection, shared memories, and the values instilled during their school years, the Castilian Society continues to celebrate a vibrant and expanding alumni community. Whether you left decades ago or more recently, every former pupil remains an important part of the NULS story.
Since its early stages last summer, the Castilian Society has steadily gathered momentum. From reconnecting with alumni and sharing stories, to developing new ways for the community to engage, each step has contributed to what is now a significant milestone: the launch of a dedicated, all-in-one platform.
This Network represents the next stage in that journey — bringing together everything the Castilian Society has been building towards into one shared space.
The new platform offers a central hub where alumni can reconnect, engage, and contribute in meaningful ways. It provides a space to stay in touch with friends, discover events and reunions, support current students, and expand personal and professional networks.
Members can also share opportunities, ideas, and achievements, helping to create a culture of collaboration and mutual support across generations of the school community.
Alumni are encouraged to create their profiles, share their school memories, and highlight where life has taken them since leaving. From favourite houses and activities to career journeys and personal milestones, every contribution helps shape and strengthen the community.
The enthusiasm shown so far has already been inspiring, with many reconnecting and expressing a desire to support one another and future students. The Network now provides a dedicated home for this to continue growing.
The platform includes an Updates page where members can share news, events, and announcements with the wider community. There are also opportunities to get involved through mentoring, collaborations, and projects.
Alongside this, a range of merchandise celebrating the shared heritage of the schools is becoming available, including locally produced items that reflect both school pride and the region’s traditions.
The Castilian Society Network is more than just a platform — it is the culmination of months of progress and a major step forward in keeping the NULS community connected.
All members of the alumni community are warmly invited to join, explore, and be part of what comes next. Click the “Visit Here” button below to find out more.
