Exceptional A Level results meant aspiring doctors at NULS were jumping for joy as an impressive seven of the school’s students secured places at prestigious university Medical Schools! The schools’ reputation for securing would-be medics places at university is renowned in the region and this year has seen that trend continue with students departing to the likes of the University of Oxford, University College London and, more locally, Keele University, as they take up places on these incredibly selective and prized courses. Headmaster Michael Getty, was delighted stating: “Medicine is so competitive to access at university and to have seven students departing this year, to study this elite subject, really is a cause for celebration. Currently, we have over 40 students already at university studying in this area and it is wonderful to be sending off a further 7 to join them!”
The school’s celebrations have been widespread as its A Level results smashed 10 year records with an outstanding 81% of all results at the prized A*-B grades! Headmaster, Michael Getty, added: “It has been such a wonderful morning! This cohort’s results are absolutely stunning and have beaten records that have stood for a decade. They now depart to the country’s very best universities and we wish them well!”
