Our students were jumping for joy as they secured a stunning set of GCSE results. We saw our results climb even higher than last year with over 77% of all examinations awarded the prestigious grades 7-9, 58% at the very elevated grades 8 & 9 and an incredible 32% at the most prized grade 9!
Mr Getty commented: “The students deserve so much credit. To have negotiated the challenges of remote learning and the rigours of multiple assessments and secure these absolutely superb grades is a real measure of their ability and resilience. Over 32%, one in every three GCSEs, secured the highly prestigious grade 9, which is simply breath-taking! Eight students have even secured a clean sweep of grade 9s in each and every subject, which deserves enormous praise. We are very, very proud of them!”
These performance levels have been seen right across the board, with core subjects like Mathematics and English achieving incredible statistics of 80% and 81% Grade 7-9. Achievements were even higher in Biology, Chemistry and Physics where over 90% of grades were at Grade 7 or above.
Our teaching staff deserve great credit for how skilfully they have guided our students through this challenging period and its relentless testing and assessment. Their rapid adoption of live remote teaching certainly aided the students, who deserve huge credit for how they have realised their potential under such exceptional circumstances.
